A walkway to XVI century Santa Cruz Castle

Alfaroleiros Pottery Tradition

If a single event must be chosen as the most representative of the essence and spirit of Oleiros, that event would be the Alfaroleiros traditional pottery fair, which takes place in the first week of August.

The fair is held in the Luis Seoane Park, where craftsmanship, tradition and nature come together and Spain's most gifted pottery makers meet to offer visitors samples of the heritage they have received from their ancestors. The fair is a must-see, and, along with a visit to the Os Oleiros Museum, it makes for a perfect day's outing.
